Destruction of open spaces to accommodate the traffic to Fort Cambridge

RE: Destruction of the beach and children’s playground at Qui-si-sana.  to accommodate the widening of road and   roundabout to accommodate traffic to Fort Cambridge.

Dear Sirs

I wish to register my objection to this in the strongest possible manner. It goes against all principles of urban management and pollution limitation. Ity will also destroy one of the few remaining open areas in Sliema.

Creating and widening roads only creates more traffic and this can only increas Sliema's pollution.

I wish to know if  (1) an environmental impact assessment (especially in respect of pollution) has been conducted and if (2)  a public consultation will be held. .

I also attach the text of a letter  frm EU doctors and healthworkers on the question of pollution. (PDF Document)

I hope that there will be mass protests against this dangerous threat to health of local residents.
