Volunteers' Meeting
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The Flimkien ghal Ambjent Ahjar Committee is holding a meeting for volunteers on Saturday 6th February at 4.30pm, following a call for volunteers in order to be able to cope better with the heavy volume of work it is handling.
Volunteers work best when they commit to something that they are comfortable with therefore FAA is asking members of the public who might consider helping if they could send an email indicating what they would be interested in contributing to. A number of issues are listed below however, if you are interested in something that is not included, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Could you also tell us about your computer skills, your interests and qualifications -whether you might be able to attend meetings, write reports, speak to other groups or any other way that you wish to contribute. These are the areas in which we need help and support:
- Helping with the Website (basic IT needed);
- Heritage research;
- Development Planning Issues;
- Watching developments in your area;
- Writing to the Media;
- Public Relations;
- Campaign Management;
- Student volunteer coordination;
- Translations (English to Maltese or other languages);
- On-line press cutting (to keep us informed of relevant press reports)
- Editing English texts (summaries of articles etc);
- Health and safety concerns;
- Speaking to groups and in schools;
- Fund-Raising;
- Help to set up or during events;
- Help with Transport (for art exhibitions etc);
- Artwork and Design;
- Administration;
- Photography;
Should you be interested volunteering to help in any of the above, please let us know on : contact@faa.org.mt
